DNC Chair Howard Dean
to Speak in Crawford

Democratic National Committee Chair Howard Dean will stop by the Crawford Community Center on Thursday, July 17, 2008, at 9 a.m., as part of a national bus tour to promote voter registration. Please join Gov. Dean, State Rep. Jim Dunnam, C-Span and other national media as we send a Democratic message from Crawford.

In order that we may have a nice crowd by the time the bus arrives, please try to be in the Community Center parking lot by 8:45 a.m.

The address of the Crawford Community Center is 999 East 4th Street, Crawford, Texas. It is next to the Crawford High School football field.

National Delegates

Congratulations to the following McLennan County delegates to the State Convention on being selected to serve as delegates to the 2008 Democratic National Convention in Denver: Jody Money, Jean Laster, Lola Hopper, and Fernando Villarreal.

What a County Convention!

With over 1,400 delegates, alternates, and guests in attendance, the March 29th County Convention was a huge success and a model for party unity. The message from the Convention: we will win in November and a Democrat will be the next President of the United States!

I want to give special thanks to the many volunteers who helped with the Convention.
